My bike: 2006 1200C, 20K miles
Stock AC & pipes (Carb was richened up a bit 1 month ago)
Coming home this afternoon on the freeway 70 MPH and felt a slight hesitation in power 2x very quickly.
I exited the freeway, cruising at 45 MPH and lost all electrical for a few seconds lights were flashing on/off but the motor was still running. About a mile later the same thing happened but this time the motor died. I pulled into a parking lot and shut down. Bike started right back up and the hesitation happened a couple more times before I arrived home.
Thinks I have checked so far:
Battery connections
Pulled the plugs-looked OK
What else to check? Thanks in advanced for any help or tips
You indicated that you checked the battery connections, but did you also check the ground wire bolted to the bottom of the frame in front of the battery? I had a simlar issue and this connection was loose. Tightened it up-no problems in over a year.

I took a ride this morning to see if I was still having problems. Rode for about 30 minutes with no problems, ready to head home and the speedo died. Bike was running fine otherwise.
Got home and pulled the VSS and had a corroded pin, I was going to just try to clean it up but I decided to replace it. I didn't want to risk the corrosion to migrate into the harness connector.
Went for another ride this afternoon and everything seemed OK.
P.S.- I had pulled the connector for the oil pressure switch and it had some grime in it, cleaned that up to, may have contributed to the hesitation I experienced maybe...
