I had True Duals installed and jetted the carb at the same time. When I picked up the bike my signal lights didn't work. Back to the shop and they worked fine. On the way home they didn't work.
Next day when I went to start it almost rolled over but not enough juice.
Boosted and started. Warmed up and off I went. I looked at the meter and wasn't charging.
Back home and shut down. Now it's completely dead.
Everything was ok before the pipes went on and the carb worked on.
I know the pipes and carb are not related to electral but might something have been pinched or loosened?
I'll take it back to my mechanic. Just looking for ideas.
Thanks
On that bike the first place I would check is the regulator harness where it goes around the bracket that holds the regulator and there abouts. It's a known bad spot, also check the plug on the front of the primary case, they have a habit of working loose.
Thank you.
I checked that plug and sure enough it was off. Put it back on - boosted and went for a ride. Charged up and started ok today. Signal lights even work again!
