Hey guys, installing forward controls on my 2018 883 Iron. Ran into an unexpected problem. The footpeg bracket has an ear that the mids didnt so my pegs (iso black) dont fit. I had an extra, I modified it to fit by shaving off some metal, but its off at an angle and doesn't look right. Am i doing something wrong or missing something? I verified that I got the correct part number but it doesnt match the pictures in the directions either????? Stumped?

 

When i changed from mids to forward controls i had the same issue so i changed all 4 pegs to Paul yaffe bullet pegs

 

I took care of it. I just used my grinder to take off the extra bit of ear so that i can use my original pegs. Now onto the exhaust

 

Are they OEM forward control brackets?

On the bikes I have here the footpegs are held on with pins and circlips.
