Can anyone help me ? I recently installed Custom Dynamics LED Turn Signal Conversion Kit For my 2016 sportster 72 but now the brake light will only go off sometimes and when holding the hazard light. Sometimes hazard wont even work in the rear, just sitting the brake light will just naturally stay on. It worked before doing the installation. Not an expert on electrical stuff but any help would be appreciated
Try turning on your hazzards for several minutes, that will allow the canbus to learn the new lights. If that doesn't work give CD a call, great company and they'll help.
It looks like your bike uses the rear indicators as run, stop and turn. Did it originally have twin filament bulbs?
2016 bikes use a BCM that is programmed to light the lights. If you fit a light convertor box you will possibly upset its function.
On 2016 Sportsters that have LED rear lights there is 4 wires to each indicator. If it self learns you have LEDs but only 3 wires then again I doubt it will function properly.
It is possible that whatever unit you installed, is causing the problem. Try calling Custom Dynamics. Verify that the model number of the unit you have on the bike, is compatible with your bike.
but now the brake light will only go off sometimes
This suggest something other than just compatible led in place of bulbs has been fitted but needs clarifying and more information on what parts exactly has been fitted.
