Good day Sportster riders,
I own a 2022 Iron 883 that has clocked 1520 kms as on date and first service is due. A while ago during my weekly short ride, I noticed my Engine light continuously on, while the Bike was running. I checked ECM and the error code found was P0141, indicating damaged wiring or loose wiring. There was no damaged wiring found upon visual inspection and so loose wiring or minor corrosion in wiring terminals is suspected. Also this ECM light went on in the middle of my ride and I did not have trouble getting back home.
I shall be grateful for any Troubleshooting tips you can provide me in this regard. Initially, it appears to be a straightforward solution.

Im pretty sure that code relates to the rear oxygen sensor- if you check the connector and wires to that, and it looks good, i would suspect a bad sensor. If your bike is still under warranty- its covered- if not, they arent too expensive....

 

141 codes is usually cause by secondary 02 sensor after cat on most vehicles. Not sure if your bike has a cat.


Does your bike run okay? Test the 02 sensors with ohm meter should read 10~20

 

Any performance mods to factor into this equation...exhaust/intake/tuner/etc.? >.<
