Quick question
Not knowing the climate you are riding in....
"normally" - pull choke, let'er run till she just starts to race in the idle(15-20 seconds) push in 1/2 way(10-30 seconds) and then blast 'er in all the way.
again, depending on climate.... my ride home on Saturday night was 33 degrees, took "a little" longer.
best of luck with the new scooter..

Yep, on my bike, gotta give the throttle at least one quick twist. If it's cold outside, choke, and a couple of twists.
She always fires right up, just gotta learn how to push the bitch's buttons...

'05 1200 - no throttle twist, pull enrichner out all the way, starts up instantly. I let her warm up until Ikick up the stand &and ride off. These cold days I leave the enrichner out for a couple blocks, and 1/2 out for a mile or so.
Be aware,if you fit pipes and stage one air. You should not use the choke at all.It will clog up the plugs in no time. Two or three twists of the throttle and start her up.Keep the revs up for a few seconds and let the bike warm up for 30 secs or so then gun the hell out of it.[sm=badbadbad.gif]
I keep the choke on, dont touch the throttle, then after about 30-40 seconds of running I can hear a change in the engine sound and its time to take off the choke, then I control the idle with the throttle. raise it slightly to warm up faster. i never touch the throttle BEFORE i start the bike, though.
