Default Quick question

Do you have to give older sportster's with Carburetors a few twists of the throttle before starting?

Thanks.

I am carbed and ummm, no....
Heck, my bike won't start if ya give 'er gas while turning it over.

Pull enricher, push the "gitty-up-go" button.

If it's been setting for several days, a few twists of the throttle before you push the starter will help. As stated above, also have the enricher (choke) out.
