Odometer Issue
Hello all...
Just picked up a '95' 883 with ridiculous milage (over 45k). The seller (owner #2) claimed theodo was screwed upbefore he got it claiming2k actual miles or so. The issue is thatthe odometer rolls @5 times faster than it should, making1 mileroughly equivalentto 5 on the odo. I figure it will be an arm and leg to address at the dealership in parts/labor, but maybe it's something simple enough that I can do. Any ideas?

I realize that 35,000-40,000 in a 10+ year span is not "ridiculous" per se,but it may be considered ridiculous if the odometer started misbehaving @ 10,000 for example, and 35,000 of those miles are actually 7,000. I have no way of knowing, and that's water under the bridge. What I would like to do however, is stop the "300 mile afternoon" outings.
