Default Wobble

FYI I have had my bike in 3 time for a wobble between 35 and 55 mph.Have taken it to two different dealers to get the problem resolved. To make a long story short, dealer installed new front tire wobble went away.first trip to dealer 209 miles, this trip 429 and tire fixed problem.

Anyone with a new sportie andit has a wobble, 21" front tire make the dealer replace the tire. it is under warranty. The second dealer I went to told me stright up wobble was due to bad front tire, they would not replace it because I did not buy the bike from them. I had to argue with the buying dealer to replace tire, but they did and wobble went away.

Hmmmm this sounds weird....if it keeps going on i would make the dealer and have them dig deeper into the issue.

I had wobble after about 500 miles...took it to the dealer twice. Told it was normal for a v-twin.

I lived with it till arould 5200 miles when I changed the front tire. With the new tire, ran smooth as silk.

If it is a warranty issue, it should not matter where you bought the bike. I would send a email to HD about that dealer. My bike is not under warranty so I don't know how it works or not.

You are correct, warranty issues can be done by any dealer, that is why we call them stealers!, I think they were trying to make a fast buck. They have al-ready been reported. However thanks to them I did get new tire and wobble resolved.

Both times I took mine in was under warrenty. Mechanic said he drove it an didn't notice anymore wobble or shake and any other Sportster. I never had any luck with warrenty work, I was always told the problem was "normal".

I have come to the conclusion that only about 1 in 20 employees in any given Harley dealership may, and i do mean "may" know a tad more about
motorcycles than you or I do. Some hard economic times are ahead and I think some of these adult day care centers will fold. I will offer them a ride to the unemployment office for a $100 an hr. Ride to steal, steal to ride is their secret motto!!!
