Slip ons or full exhaust
I went with the full pipes on mine. I didn't care for the look of the stocks, and while I do like the looks of the V&H Straight Shots, I don't like the staggered look as much as full pipes, so I went all out. Intake & EFI remap is next.
I just put on a set of Rinehart slip-ons and they look & sound awesome. I went with black and had the stock heat shields powdercoated to match (still not sure if that will hold). I definitley noticed a difference in the performance.
Either way you have to have the mapping done, so if money is an issue get the slip-ons so you have extra money to pay for the mapping.

I agree with your dealer and many of the other posts...Slip-on's are fine....Nothing wrong with the stock headers...get what you like the most and what sounds the best to your ears...good luck.
If you just go with slip-ons no remap is needed I have cycle shack slip ons and i didnt get the remap and it is fine. Now once i get the black se heavy breather then i will get the remap but until that happens which my birthday is coming up so hopefully pops will get it for me the i will foot the 220 it costs here in seattle for the remap.
No. You only will need a remap if you upgrade your air cleaner.
