Progressive shock model Help!
Hey guys,
Im looking at a set of progressive 412 11" shocks model # 412-4005C, progressive says they are for 79-03 model sportsters. My question is will these fit on a '08, if not what is the difference between the 2? I cant find a spec sheet to see what the difference is.
Thanks
David

Hopefully here's the link to your question if you have a nightster...

Hey guys,
I got a response from another forum and thought it might me helpful for other people out there.
The difference, if I remember correctly, is that the 4005 and the 4062 are identical except that the 62 has an extra 'bumper' that keeps the shock from traveling far enough to have the fender hit the belt guard. They did this for the lows and the N.
Progressive told me that if I wanted the extra bumper that I could send my shocks to progressive and they would add the bumper for no charge...
Thanks again for all the help!
