How many degrees is stock? All I would want is a subtle rake extention to give it a more stretched while maintaining a reasonable stock appearance.
Depends on the year of your bike. An 04-05 custom for example is 30* stock. I would imagine over the years they ranged from 28-30*.

Then in that case I think a total of 35-38 degrees would be fine for me.

one big thing to consider, is how will your bike handle. there are 2 sportys in my area that used raked trees and raked cups, they have to use a steering damper they say they really love em but they handle like crap, so they just use them as bar hoppers.

Can you rake them while maintaining good handleing? If so, how much? Would 5-8 degrees be too much?

really depends on who you talk to. a lot of guys will be willing to sacrifice handling for looks. i would love to put the front wheel of my bike out there about 3 or 4' myself, i dont want it to ride like hell tho!

The seeger kit maintains stock handling. There are a lot of people who have done the kit.

According to all the advertisement, the ride stays the same. But I kinda find all companies adds are biased! Its like going to Burger King and that Whopper on the menu sure looks friggen good and the one you get when you order looks like someone wiped thier *** with it and the pimple faced kid that serves it to ya has that evil grin on his face. It would be bad for them to say, "this chopper kit looks fricken awsome, but your probably gonna dump it the first time ya try and ride it cause the ride is gonna be totally different."

Those look cool but I'm thinking it might be too much rack for myself too. Anyone know of anything that has less in it besides having to do a cut and weld job?
