Thank You for responding more thoroughly and providing that detailed response on this forum. That being said I will edit my previous posting.

I felt when I called I kinda got the side step from the girlie on the phone, and even though you answered some questions I had regarding the safety of these items I had purchased (although not from you evidently) when I asked the big question like should I be scared of these Triple Clamps?

You kinda chuckled and said "well I cant warranty them" I didnt ask if you would warranty them as I had already said I will toss them in the garbage if they were unsafe rather than use them. That and the fact that these came from Temecula Ca(your location) and you are listed as the marketing man on Universal Engineerings website currently left me with the impression that you were still associated with Universal Engineering and were dodging the liability of the Universal Engineering part I was inquiring about with that response..

Regardless, I am glad I dont have to chuck a set of Triple Clamps in the garbage only having to swap out some bolts and I am man enough to say when I am wrong also.

So, with the information you posted regarding the items I inquired about and the info regarding your past association with Universal Engineering I admit I jumped to a conclusion that doesnt seem to be accurate given the response you provided. I am sure you could see how I arrived at said conclusion given the various bits of info I had available.

 

Thanks for the apology. It means a lot for someone to admit when they are at fault.

In our conversation, I laughed because I thought it was funny that someone was able to connect all those dots, not because I doubted the integrity of the product. I'll try to reach the guys over there and at least get them to update that contact page since not much of the info is accurate.
