I wore out my front shocks and they bottom out against the trees often, I cant do wheelies anymore. I started doing them with my ducati but its not the same as lifting up a harley.
then again ANY bike will wheelie if you do it right. I have a 80cc lawnmower two stroke on a bicycle frame with a manual clutch and if i lean back, redline it, and dump the clutch it lifts me right up.

I found out last night that you can do a wheelie on an 883 c... You don't even have to be trying! I Was doing some messing around at 4 AM last night (not trying to do a wheelie), and launched to see what she had, and the bike had no problem lifting my 270# *** up. Surprised me again with the power it has. Reading some of the threads on here, you would think that you couldn't make it up a slant driveway. Just a thought for those worried that an 883 won't be enough for them. Who here is happy their 883's power?

Look at the weight difference between an FLHX and a Sportster! The FLHX has a whole lotta mass that it's pulling and the Big Twin engines definitely do better in torque at the higher speeds....they keep pulling where a stock Sportster tends to run out of steam....Off the line my 1200 Sportster will smoke my Deluxe any day of the week....definitely a "zippy" bike!

I guess maybe if you are talking about a less than 500cc bike. Any 600+ sport bike will easily out run a 1200 from 0-70.

No problem, take the counter off that Sporty and go to a 30T counter. He won't pull away from you any more, he'll be chasing you. Funny thing is you'll still get him on the low end too.
