Year and model of bike.
What does won't start mean? Does it make a clicking sound? Does the motor turn over but not fire? Does the headlight come on when you turn on the ignition switch?
Or, did you just forget to put the Run/Stop switch in the Run position?
I can get another point on my number of post here!
My guess is a Dead Battery.
When you got done with your first ride you used the Kill Switch to shut the bike off and left the key in the ON position and the bike sat there for a few hours with the headlight on and drained the battery.
Also I lived in Ocala for 4 years 1994 - 1997 nice town I enjoyed living there.

i have a 2001 1200 sport and i didnt leave the switch on to drain the battery it does turn over just wont start the spark plugs are getting spark just wont start after the ride any helpful tips would be appreciated
Check the battery connections. When my negative cable would get loose before it would crank but never start.
Are you trying to say that your bike will crank, when the neagative cable isn't attached???? Or that you get enough power to crank the engine over, but there isn't enough power to generate a small spark??
Fine to check battery cables, but if one of them isn't attached....it won't crank. And, if it is connected enough to actually crank the motor, then there certainly is enough power for a spark.
And since the OP said he is getting spark....well.........
Like I said the negative cable was loose. It would crank but not start. I could tell when the cable would get loose because it would start cranking slower and sometimes start but not always. I'd check the cable and it was loose. I even tried jump starting the bike the first time it happened and it wouldn't start. I then found the cable loose and tightened it and bam it started right up.
The first time it got loose it melted some of the negative post so the cable wouldn't fit flush. I tightened it up but it would come loose gain. I finally filed down the battery post and loctited the cable and it never happened again.
Takes a couple seconds to check and make sure the cables are tight. I would advise the OP to do that.
