Windshields
I bought a 2005 1200C back in november and recently had a custom paint job put on it. Helps to be related to the painter. I plan on putting 16" narrow glide apes with 5" center width on it in a few days. The bike came with a windshield which I took off. I think it would look retarded with apes. Anyway, I rode it for the first time without it today. Man, at about 70 mph I thought I was going to come off the back of that thing. This will take some getting used to before the road trip from SC to thunder beach in PC Florida.
That's why I have a quick detach weenie shield. For road trips, then I take it off when I get to my destination. Also comes in handy in the winter, but I mainly got it for road trips.
This is always intersting to me.
The man takes the windshield off because of how it looks. Then complains about the wind.
Same with removing the frount finder/belt gards and wondering how all that damage to the Ride happened.
Its a funny world. J.

Rain, rocks, bugs.
They all hurt. And the faster you go, the more they hurt.
Seems the older we get, the more we want our so-called creature comforts.
Personally, I could care less about what people think of my bike's looks.
As long as I'm happy with it, that's what counts.
