What did you use for the spacers? I like the idea of the sockets, but if I can get spacers at the store i will do that.

I used 2 1" nylon spacers on each side that I got at the hardware store. The diameter was perfect for the mounting bolts so there was no play & they matched up perfectly. I found some 2" metal spacers but the diameter was too large & I could not secure them properly.

I did this mod on Friday night and it was super easy. Well for some reason the eyebrow bolts were in there so tight I had to use a floor jack handle for a braker bar on the allen wrench, but got them out and get the new ones in-they are the correct pitch. I used 1.5" zink spacers-looks just like chrome and 2.5" black allen head bolts that I capped off with the chrome covers I had on the stock bolt heads. With the 1.5" spacers the gauges are very close to the eyebrow, but do not touch. I did not have to elongate the holts on the gauge mount-it was a direct fit. I love this mod so much and so does everyone that has seen it. Like I said my gauges were stright up due to the pull back risers. Now I can see my clock without bending down LOL! This was the best $7.00 and hour I have spent on the bike yet LOL!

Hey I just saw this thread and need to do the exact same thing to my iron so I can accomodate some 4.5" risers. Anybody have the part #'s? More pics would be great as I really need to do this mod.

Realize this is an old thread.. but I just did this. Loving it. Now want to put on a bikini fairing. Hoping this mod doesnt get in the way of the mounts for the fairing. We will see.
