OP, open the can and let us see what's inside.
Why when you can just rip out the wiring from the new headlight and use the OEM wire harness.

The extra wires are for passing lamps.

Stonewall308;

I purchased the same light from the same place last summer. I used a Salvenia superstar light bulb, white light and bright. I tried to take the leads off the Nightster h4 plug, but they wouldn't budge, seems like they were welded in. So I snip the wires. Now i had 3 wire to go to the plug. I looked at the plug that came with the new light and matched them up. even though I believe the wires had same colors but didn't go to the same place. I think a black went with a yellow or some thing like that. I matched left plug wire to left plug wire on new plug and center to cent and right to right. I just snip the extra wires since I don't need them. Hopes this help. Love the light.

No one said it was rocket science. I just figured it couldn't hurt to ask since I don't have time to mess with it until this weekend.

I'll open up the two lights this weekend and figure it out.

I hope OP sorted the wiring out already, seeing as it happened 7 years ago.

I am guessing it has what we call a position lamp in it. A small low wattage light. In a car it might be called a side light that you would run just as it is getting dark to allow others to see you.

New bikes run with the headlamp on all the time so a bit redundant now.

Could not see the light since the link is so old eBay can't find it. But I converted my bike to a 7" Trucklight LED headlight that also had those extra wires and they were for supplying power to an optional "Halo" LED light that creates lighted ring around the headlight.
