Hi all,
I'm thinking of doing a 1200 conversion to my 01' 883 Custom. Does anyone have a prefered kit and/or cost for it? How much existing stuff on my bike can I use? Also, if anyone has advice/pointers on the difficulty or even a link to some helpful points on DYI I'd sure appreciate them.

the screamin eagle kit comes with pistons (forged) pins rings & jugs for around 495 bucks, the dealer usually will do the work for around 400-450 most will have the bike in and out in 1 to 2 days. when u get this done its break in time and then hang on to you ***!! have fun!
Thanks Mike ( i'm guessing). I'll give my local shop a call and find out the cost. I just want to get as informed as possible before taking the plunge.... but I will take it!

If you find a mechanic that knows what they're doing, then you can build yourself a beast. Not to mention you can have the bike built to have power exactly where you want it (rpm range).
Go to www.nrhsperformance.com for info, kits, etc. And the guys there will make no-obligation recommendations if you pick up the phone. They're REALLY helpful.
what's the low down on that 1450 conversion.... I wouldn't mind jumping right in the **** ... so to speak. Did you do your own conversion? or were you just aware of the kit at that site...
