Default 97 sportster 1200C Power upgrade

I have a 97 sportster 1200 Custom. I plan keeping this bike forever so I do not care if the resale value goes down. I'm looking to get more power. Is a big bore kit worth it? And if I do a big bore kit what else would have to be replaced for it to work? Or is a cam a better decision. The bike has pipes and an air intake. Carb has been tuned. Anyone have any advice for me.

Zack, you will gain the most improvements by raising compression ratio, however an economical way of doing that is indeed with a big bore kit (although not essential). The one brand that gets great reviews around here is Hammer Performance, who sell a wide variety of tuning aids and kits, so I recommend you check out their website. Also check out threads in here by various members who have installed their kits, where you will find photos and advice on what gives good results.
