Do you mean he has a Sportster? I haven't heard of a big bore kit that size, so if the kit he has is 95" it is for a big twin TC88, which should fit his '06 RG. I don't think any big bore kit for a Sportster will fit a big twin.

I've used the "Big Bore" sporty kits to take 'em from an 883 to a 1200, but I can honestly say I've never installed (or even seen) a 95" kit for a Sporty. Then again, most of my hobby work is on big twins and almost anything is possible these days with the right parts.

It IS common to take an 88 up to a 95 or 98 with bore kits, so if that's what your friend has then it should be no problem to install on his new bike. He would want to make sure that he has the right cam/headwork/pistons/compression to ensure that everything works well together though...

We need a clearer idea of just what it is that he has. Can you find out what brand this kit is and anything else that can help us help you and him!

Anything more than 1250 on a sporty is not a bolt-on but I do know of a 124 sporty. If the big bore kit is for a sporty it will not fit a big twin.

If you're asking if a big bore kit for a Sportster will work on a Twin Cam the answer is no

Send him directly to here so he can ask his own questions and get direct answers and you get less headaches.
