Default Shifter/brake

I just got my first Harley sportster 1200, and being 5ft tall it’s hard for me to reach my shifter and brake.. anyone have any suggestions as to how I can change that?

If your bike has forward controls you can switch them out for mid controls this will put your shifter and brake much closer to the seat.

The only 1200 Sportster that model year has mid controls, however quite obviously they may have been changed at some time since then. If they are mids and where they belong, it may be a case of altering your seat so you can sit further forward, which can also improve comfort for your arms. It's worth looking around for a local upholsterer to talk to, to fine tune your seat for you.
