anybody have them on a right side shift, I think I came up with a way to make some but I'd like a picture to use as an example. any help would be much appreciated
well, on my '74 the guy before me put fwd controls on, the way he did it changed the shifting from right to left like the newer bikes. He hooked the brake cross over to the to the shifter on the right and to the fwd control on the left, then hooked a straight rod to the brake on the right side fwd control. i switched engines to a '79 so i had to rework the forwards again, i took a stock shifter and cut it down and drilled a hole in it, then i bent a 1/2" round stock rod to fit to the forward control. for the brake i did the same thing(took a few bends ). for the brake with the '74 engine it had the brake lever cut down and the same deal (the parts that come in cheap fwd controls suck and loosen up all the time).i'll try to post pics but not quite sure to here.....
