A few years back I replaced my mid controls on my 2011 Dyna Super Glide Custom with floor boards. Now I am going back to mid controls. However Im going back to the further forward mid controls. I was trying to do my research before posting here and asking this question. Even though the mid controls are further forward by about 2 inches. Are the brake and shifter rods the same size as stock? I am looking at these picture https://www.harley-davidson.com/stor...id-control-kit ( I got them from my brother who is a Tucker Rocky/BIkes Choice dealer instead of Harley but the dimensions are the same) and it seams that the 2 inch extended feature on these mid controls are just making the shifter pedal , brake pedal and brackets a bit longer. However the mounting points for the shifter and brake linkage look as though they are the same as stock? They say 2 inch further mid controls because from the looks of it the brake pedal, shifter pedal and foot peg rests just seem to be 2 inches longer. While the mounting points for the shifter linkage arm and brake linkage arm look like they are stock length and mount to the same point as regular mid controls.
BTW, if you look at the pic, you can see why it uses the stock brake rod. The position of the pivot point for the brake lever is unchanged. Only the lever is longer and the footpeg placement is moved forward.
