Yeah Joe, Vulcan confirmed that HD uses some oddball wheel on the 48. I most likely will go with the wide-glide on this one.

Anyone know the cheapest/best source of 2000 up 16" wire wheels out there?

Vulcan Mid glide kit for 39mm forks + 16x3 wheel for 130mm wide front tire.

I think one would have to do some parts juggling to make a 16" wheel work with that mid glide kit. HD does it with some odd hub combo from the factory, but I just don't want to invest all the time and probably wasted money on parts for it when I know the wide glide will work with standard/cheaper available parts. (The guys at Vulcan agree with this approach as well)
