Battery tender quick connect question

RE: Battery tender quick connect question
Just connect it to the posts (get the polarity right....red on pos, black on neg.) between the cables that are already attached. Route the battery tender cable so that it doesn't rub anything or lies against a cylinder (my dealer even got that last bit wrong on my new Dyna) and is easily accessable and hideable when not in use.
You might not have to remove the battery...depends on access to the screws/nuts at the terminal connection. You will need either a Phillips or wrench to undo them (don't know your model config, but an offset scredriver can often help here a LOT...cheap and very useful).

It just attaches to the 12-volt battery.
One end for the negative side, and the other for the positive terminal.
Then just route the "battery tender' plug-in so it can be used without any problems.
Here is how I have it routed on my 2005 1200C.
I have these on all my bikes, and they are great. No more pulling off the seat(s) like we did for many years.

What OldFenderGuy said. I just did this to my 06 1200C and my wife's 05 and the only thing I can add is that I hid the harness behind the battery cover with just the end peaking out and accessable at the upper left (when facing) of the battery cover. Has worked great so far.

ORIGINAL: LOTHAR
My 05 1200C came with the quickconnect installed.

They only cost the consumer about $7.00, so I'm sure Harley dealers get them by the case load for next to nothing.
Around here it frequently drops well below zero in the winter (was 6F outside this morning), and most new bikes sold by the dealers in this area have them installed.
