Default Removing baffles?

Bought my girlfriend her first bike 09 883L. She has a hard time hearing what the bike is doing due to it being so quiet with the stock pipes. So I looked into mufflers dont feel like spending that much on her bike. Then I though about doing something with the baffles but how the hell do you get the out? Hope I don't have to drill them that would suck.

I took a 1/2 drill bit to my GFs 883L, gave it a nice rumble. Still super quiet at speed. Cost-------zero......my favorite part.

I've done this several times to my older bikes, but I've never cut anything out. Simply removed the mufflers and knocked out the plugs with a long piece of 1/2" re-bar. That is whats been done to my '96 Sportster and the bike sounds great.

Any performance loss if you bung a hole in the stock baffles or take them out altogether?
