The first thing I would do is get a second opinion. Have someone else ride it, do not tell them the problem, and when they get done riding it ask if they noticed the wobble.

After you ask them have them ride it again to see if they notice anything, but more than likely if they feel a wobble or other issue they will tell you.

Above is a link to Storz which offer HD steering dampeners. Size, mounting brackets and measurements are in this link.

In the old days...the issue was always finding mounting brackets and proper angles. Once that is fabricated, I'd think a used sportbike dampener could be adapted.

You've screwed up the handling by altering the steering geometry and adding 14" apes, and now you want to know what gismo you can add to correct this?

Unsubscribed.

Your apes may be a problem. At speed you are sitting upright facing into the teeth of a howling gale! You hold onto the grips tight, which transfers 'wobble' from your arms, as you are buffetted, back into the bars.

A simple experiment is to try some ear plugs. They reduce the noise you hear, which reduces the tension in your arms. Try them, as they only cost a few cents. You may find you can ride faster, before the same problem starts. If so, we have nailed it!

Long term, either ride slower, fit lower bars, or get fitter so you can avoid gripping the bars tight!

Check the tires.

Fix the suspension.

Change the bars.

Alot of wobbles are caused by the swing arm... Check rear tire alignment and check the swing arm for free play! Like others have said check the forks and check the bearings in the NECK (triple tree) you wil most likely find something wrong there.

I have seen lowered bike with apes handle decent but you have to do it right make sure your lowered parts match...

I would take the front wheel off and have your local bike shop check the balance. After that I would check all the stuff mentioned in this thread. Apes should not make the bike wobble.
