Hey guys it was 70 here in tulsa today so I rode into work on my way in I hit the highway and got up to around 70-75 mph and the front of my bike started to wobble real bad ........at 65 she rides fine but anything over 70 she was wobbling.
The winds were strong today @ 15-20mph and I am sure that affected it some what but i would not think it would cause her to wobble like that.
I stopped by the Stealer at lunch time since I just bought the bike less then 40 days ago ...........He sat on it pulled the front brake in and pushed the forks in and out and said the neck bearing is fine .....If i have any my problems bring her by..........
I checked my tire pressure...........it was perfect
She is a 09 Street Bob with 500 miles on her .........
Any feed back is appreciated
anything below 70 she is fine.......over 70 she wobbled so bad the back started wobbling to
I've been riding my 08 in some pretty strong sidewinds and headwinds, up to and over 80. Rock solid. (with windshield).
... and I'm not sure that's the best way to check the neck bearings. Works okay for checking the forks I guess, but I think you really need to be able to unload the weight off the front to really check to see if the bearing tension is loose.
You might want to pull that cover off your triple tree bolt, and just check that the nut is not loose or something.
There's a couple of other people that have mentioned wobble on their bikes. Not sure what's going on....

That isn't the best way to check the bearings. They may not be loose enough to detect it using that method. The bike needs to be lifted to check the fall off. You didn't mention if you have a winshield on it or not. If you did and the winds were from the side it might give you a wobble.
'd get after them, you've only had it 40 days. I was riding mine in highwinds the other day at around 75-78 and it was tracking like it was on rails. I was thinking "man this thing rides smooth" Get after 'em!
if you have a lift you can put it on the lift put something under the back tire let the lift down until it just touches the back tire. Grasp the front wheel and see if it moves up and down it should move just slightly if it moves alot the tree is loose and needs to be adjusted. there is also a procedure in the manual called fall away that is the same adjustment. I would take it to the dealer and insist they check the fall away. i had mine loosen up on me but only noticed it at low speeds.

same here, had a bad wobble, adjusted fall off by the book, 17000 mile bike rides like new again.
".....If i have any my problems bring her by.........." Thats why you were there in the first place. Any monkey could of sat on the bike and wiggled it.
