I rode in Dallas yesterday winds were about 30 to 40 mph was doing 80 and no wobble with the windshield on. I use a SE Fork Brace it stablizies the front end.

Sucks to think I would have to just live with that on windy days .......

Well definatly get it checked out under wanntery at the 1000 service......

How tall are your apes? You will notice a little wobble with the apes. Especially on windy days like this weekend here. Blowing about 30-40. I change the rubber bushings to a polyeurathene bushing which took a lot of the wobble out. good luck

I agree with what's been said. Size of your apes definately factors in. As does the front tire and wheel combo. Not only should you have the balance checked, but make sure the wheel is true. If the spokes were not tight, you could be a little off.

Neck bearings, races and such shouldn't be a problem this soon, unless stuff loosened up.

Good luck with this. Keep us informed.

UPDATE

Brought my bike in today to get checked out....

First I started the day in 30 Degree weather ......chilly ride

Checked my tire pressure and I was off ......30 Mile drive

Tire pressure in the front was at 38lbs........

I walk in the dealership and the 2 service desk guys were there with one mechanic ......

The service guy says hey this guy actually has a appointment for a wheel wobble do you think you can handle that sarcastically

The mechanic nods his head okay and walks towards my bike and I automatically said " I don't want him working on my bike obviously there is a problem"

They walk it in the back and I leave for work ...

That was around 9PM

About 5 I decided to go up there to see if it was done.......

Had been done for 3 hours no phone call

They stated my wheel was true it balanced out fine ....but they had to adjust the neck bearing some.

But the main problem was that my tire pressure in the front was 22lbs.........

Do I look stupid I checked it at 830am and it was 38 .......someone is lying here

I wish they would just be honest ......

The mechanic (who was the kid i asked not to have working on my bike) walks up and says I can only feel a wobble at 75mph when i leaned into the front end ........

You should be okay now just make sure to buy yourself a tire pressure gauge and if you have any more problems let us know.........

The service manager then says we would normally charge a fee for adjusting the neck bearing but this time we will not charge you .....

Charge me the bike is 41 days old bought Dec 31st has 285 miles on it and this time you won't charge me for it

Gee thanks stealer

Why the hell was he riding my bike at 75mph anyways i said @65 it wobbled ......

Anyway was a windy ride tonight @15-20mph on the way home really couldn't tell the difference because of the strong wind ........

Just felt good to ride

I hate the stealer and there adjustment better have worked hope to get a none windy day to test out soon ...........

Or they will look at it under warranty again at the 1000 mile service ....

There first and last service on my bike

buying the books and tools

If i they can fix it so can I

i believe i would've gotten PO'd...i would've said..look here numb nuts...i checked the tire pressure at ...it was...are you saying i lost....i dont think so...have you talked to the service manager instead of the service writer ?...a front end wobble aint cool..at all.....any service dept that makes lite of problems with your bike aint cool in my book....talk to the serv.manager,if that dont do talk to the dealership manager or the owner, tell them how you felt......

dealerships are a ****in joke, before i bought my Glide, i was VERY interested in nightsters...went in with 5000 grand for a downpayment, was there (steel city harley) for a half hour and knowbody came over to help me because of my age, Held my fat *** stack of 100's up that was GOING to be my downpayment and said "guess my 21 year old *** will take my money elsewhere"....even after buying my first bike there they still dont show u a Dicks worth of appriciation... Found the glide used, do what i can myself, but i got a really sweet local shop (rollon cycle) filled with some old school dudes that know what the F they are doin....

If my new bike was gettin loopy at even 120 MPH, i would raise hell....You paid too much money for too good of a name to get treated like that, And the F-ed up thing is they are ALL like that. Even out here in PA. i dont have a single decent dealership within 50 miles of my house, and there are 4 in a 20 minute ride from my front door....

so buy the tools, get the books......usually theres a good crew of dudes on here that can get you movin in the right direction on any problem that occurs. But you bought a brand new bike, you shouldnt have to deal with S hit .....

Get a digital tire guage. I had a mechanical one that was 9-10 lbs off once and went through a similar situation with my truck because the tires were always squealing around corners. After telling the GM dealer to screw off I took it to a Goodyear shop...boy was I embarrassed when the guy came out with a digital tire guage and I had 23 lbs of air all the way around.

Had to man up and go back to the GM guys and apologize...they were laughing their azzes off.

FWIW, my lowrider is very sensitive to front tire pressure at high speed. 2-3 lbs over will change the ride characteristics. 2-3 lbs under makes the tire feel too sticky in corners.
