2009 Dyna Street Bob 545 miles ........stock wobble wobble wobble
Here's my problem.....i bought a used '07 FXDL from the dealer in Jan. that had only 147 miles on it. It was my absolute first bike, so have been taking baby steps with it. I feel pretty damn comfortable on streets and in the sub-70mph range. I mean the bike feels totally at ease and i have no issues with wobble. But the few times ive attempted to graduate to highway riding, i don't know if i'm just being humbled by my lack of experience or if the bike has a problem. I mean i've only attempted to ride without a windshield, so i DO expect to feel the damn wind....but i just feel theres no way that this is something you guys put up with....i mean there is severe wobble. The bike isn't under warranty anymore and i still have a few hundred miles b4 the 1000 mile service. Do i have someone ride my bike to see if its just my lack of experience first? Or do i take it to the dealer, who i have no relationship with, so thus.....dont trust....to check it out?
NO! Make the dealer fix it. That's bullsh*t. You pay 14,000 for a freaking motorcycle that should NOT have that problem. My 06 Glide runs smooth to 100 and I haven't had the ***** to go any faster. Smooth as glass. If they can't fix it tell them to buy it back or give you a replacement bike. They'll fix it. If you have to write Corp Headquarters. YOU HAVE A LEGITIMATE COMPLAINT. It could be a bad tire. Tire balance usually has a problem at 55 only. Stick to your guns. Your LIFE depends on that bike. We need to stick together as customers.
Check your tire pressure frequently with this weather up and down temps effects the air in the tires. I would get this addressed asap. It is not safe riding a bike the way you describe and do not leave the stealer until you are told what is wrong or what they plan to do to fix the problem.
I dropped it off yesterday and raised hell...........
Talked to the General Manager via phone told him how upset I was about the bike and the fact the service writers never wrote up the first time I brought it in for the wobble.
The is the second service visit for the wobble in less then 2 months of purchase and 500 miles on the bike......
he sounded like he cared and said he would put his lead mechanic on the bike.....
The are closed Sunday & Monday and will not be able to get to it until Tuesday .........
Wife is at work it is 68 and sunny .....and I am sitting on the porch watching the bikes go bye.............
I love the bob haven't got to really enjoy .........times like this make my miss the 1200 Custom ...........Solid as a rock
