Default Bagger Wobble

So, has anyone experienced this so called "bagger wobble" with their swing arm? Or is it another ploy to get us to spend more money? Although, I can see the benefits of changing out the rubber cleve block bushing with the metal spherical bearing and how that could change the ride. I guess the other piece of equipment is that bolt on contraption but I really don't need to add anymore weight to thebike.

I don't really notice it unless I'm going over 85 Mph. It is more of a wiggle to me.

What I've experienced I don't really call a wobble, but my back end has stepped out on me a few times while riding. Actually just feels like a quick fishtail and can be rather unsettling at times.

I cured the wobble I was feeling by replacing the worn out front engine mount. I was never really satisfied with the way my bagger rode (I bought it used) it felt kind of unsettled entering the turns. Now it feels much better. If I would have the alignment checked, have the neck bearings checked, check the swing arm bushings, and make sure themotor mounts are ok before spending any money on a wobble cure. I was talking to a local indy about this just the other day and he said 98% of people that are experiencing a wobble have some sort of alignment issue or one of the previously mentioned problems.

I've experienced the wobble on fast sweeping turns. From what I've read this is typical of all FL's and is not a dangerous condition. This big bike with it's somewhat flexible frame is prone to this sort of thing and the rider should not panic when it presents itself. However, FL's are not designed to carve up canyon roads or to be ridden too aggressively. My Electra Glide is a dream to ride, but I would not push it beyond it's control limits (or mine) until the wobble becomes a tank slapper.

Mine doesn't wobble at speed, but when I come off the line hard the rear end seems to "flex" one way. I attributed this to the IDS.

I have felt the wobble in sweepers and some higher speed exit ramps. Not sure exactly what speed it starts at, but I have felt it as low as 35mph when leaned over on highway exit ramps and also at higher speeds in long curves. It's sort of a low frequency weave that isn't too disconcerting once you are used to it. I believe it is due somewhat to the steering head angle on the FL chassis. A friend of mine installed one of the backets found in these forums (RideStr8?) and said that it helped a lot. Personnally, I don't find it to be much of an issue.
