I had that wobble on both my '05 and '08 Ultras esp. on high speed curves so I finally got the Ride Str8 (or some name like that) and it makes a world of difference imho. I'd do it again.
Is it possible that some of the "wobble" that people describe may be the pavement there on?
I have an 06 EGC and have not had any sign of this. It is not a race bike. When your into a corner, the load on the shocks changes because of the angle. Rolling straight through small dips and bumps (normal roads) won't cause a problem. That is the way the suspension is designed to work. Lean it over a few degrees, that is another story.
If you have a wobble when in a straight line, then you've got a problem.

I've felt the wobble on my '02 UC. I think a few people are talking apples when the problem is oranges. IMHO, most people refer to the wobble as an instability in the rear of the motorcycle rather than a steering/front suspension issue. I have felt the wobble more than a few times and it can be unsettling. I have only experienced it when I was loaded heavy and taking a wide turn (sweeper)at high speed. Some people have never felt it and may not depending on how they ride and the configuration of their motorcycle. I added Sta-Bo bushing to mine and haven't felt it but I also haven't had the bike under the same conditons that I have felt it in the past. The one thing I noticed after I installed the Sta-bo is more vibration seems to be transfered from the engine through the frame. Others have stated that this will go away with time or as the bushings wear in a little bit.
IMHO, the MOCO uses the rubber biscuits on the swing arm to reduce the engine vibration through the frame. Sta-Bo bushings or any of the other "fixes" adds rigidity to the swing are so that the rubber biscuits no longer flex under high stress. I used the Sta-Bo because they were cheaper and looked like they would work. I am sure all of the other fixes work just as well but are more expensive. I don't believe I have seen any complaints about any of the "fixes". I have read where some people have used the Sta-Bo bushings in conjunction with the RideStr8 but I don't think that is necessary or recommended.
If you don't have a problem with the wobble don't spend money on a solution. You may never feel it. If you do feel it, you will know what it is. It appears to be caused by putting a heavy load on the motorcycle so if you do feel it the best thing to do is reduce throttle (re: speed)thereby reducing the load. I don't think it is a good idea to use heavy braking if your bike feels unstable. I don't consider bagger wobble to be asafety issue. It is just one of those things that may get your attention. Only you can decide whether it is worth your money and time to do anything about it.
BTW, I have never felt a steering wobble but it does happen. A few people have had full blown tank slappers resulting in an accident.

Only under some road,speed and wind conditions can I feel it.All bikes at some point with the right conditions will feel a little off.In the winter months I ride with the Harley fabric lowers on,even in the wind with the sails up feels solid.
I've noticed it since day one. The chassis is just too flexible to ride quickly through sweepers. I also feel it wobble when riding along a sharp ridge in the hwy - like when there was a construction ditch dug in the middle of the road and there's a long patch of blacktop that's a different height than the surrounding road. When you cross it, it shakes the bike a bit. I've seen many HD touring bikes do the same thing when following them.
I don't really like this about my bike. You spend a lot of money on a HD and it has a well known problem like this. All the products I have seem to address it are designed to keep the swingarm from wiggling left and right. From stiffer bushings, stiffer/bigger axles and different bushings, to the ridesrt8 brackets.
I suppose in the long run, this is going to keep my speeds in check. I know it wobbles and if I slow down it goes away. Anytime it does wobble, I'm way over the speed limit anyway.... I guess I'll have to accept it as part of the HD character. If I wanted a race bike, I would have bought one, but I didn't....
Note, this is a repeat of some post I did last year and the year before. (Notify the Admins the damn search feature ain't workin' for these people. )
My 06 gets a bit "snakey" at times in curves. This is due to a change in geometry of the suspension while in the curve. The change is induced by increasing or decreasing the load on the shocks. I can make it stop by doing the opposite of whatever induced the load.
Notice, it is a slight feel of what I can only describe as "snakey".
However, I just had to replace the front lower motor mount as it was splitting. Will it still do it? Time will tell.
I notice that HD has changed the motor mounts in 08 touring line with a beefier setup at the front top.
If I decide to add a device to the 06 it would most likely be the Ride Str8 product.
I've got a Custom Valley 200mm kit on my 07 SG.. I get wobble at 90 mph... Doesn't get real serious though, But enough to Make Ya think about it and Back off..Going to try the Bushings first, And Go from there...
