Charging issues
Thanks to all for your help.
After following the testing procedures, I found my battery to be on the way out AND a bad Voltage regulator. I went to the dealer popped them in myself and the warning lights are not showing up anymore.
Hotlap, The high reving of the engine was done to get a pedestrian to yield the right of way. Here in NYC people don't follow walk signals and have their iPods cranked.

when the regulator goes bad it often kills the battery, so it doesn't surprise me that you had to replace both..
