Flat spot!
Having recently done the 'stage 1' upgrades to my 2010 48 on the super cheap, im finding when i crack the throttle wide open there is a fantastic wind up of sound and revving, but very little pulling for a second or two.
Cycle Shack slipons-DIY air cleaner and xieds are what I've used, and just out if curiosity, are these contributing to this flat spot? And is something like a powervision going to be my only real solution?

Dude. That is a clutch problem. My bike is currently in the shop for this very reason, along with a few others. Get it checked out ASAP! I have the extended warranty (highly recommended) so its all covered...and Im upgrading my clutch the the Screaming Eagle one for only the $50 deductible.
After you change out your clutch, save up your coin and buy and install a Power Vision tuner to go along with your exhaust & intake. Put the XiED's up for sale on Craig's List or eGay to recoupe some funds. With tuner installed it is then that your bike will have obtained "Stage 1" status.
Some will disagree [oddly enough, only the guys who run XiED's; go figure] with that last statement but it's always been the standard whether carb or EFI equiped; exhaust, intake, tune[r]...the only sneakie little dastardly deviation from this standard for the EFI bikes has been the introduction of XiED's, which do not possess the abilities of a tuner and as such only bring a bike equiped with them up to about oh, "Stage .666" status, since only 2/3's of the "Stage 1" formula/equation has been satisfied; 'not quite there...
...hold on a sec, 'lemme put a wall up to protect myself from the flames...!!

Oh boy.
So here's a follow-up to that then...
This started about 4-5 weeks ago, I was noticing a slight slip in 4th or fifth gears when I got on it to pass somebody, but now that I've completed my 16k service it has gotten noticeably worse.
Either way, I guess I'm looking at replacing something, but I'm not sure how adjusting it would have exacerbated the problem.
Anyways, thanks for the quick responses! I'm going to take it in this week and get somebody to take a look at it.
