Wheels
So after dinner last night my nefew wanted to see my bike so I was proud to do so.
But in looking at it he states he heard that spoke wheels are not good because you have to retighten the spokes all the time. I thought hell I never have to do that what is he talking about. any of you out there ever come across this. Sorry about my spelling.

You don't have to retighten spokes all the time. Checking for loose spokes once per season should well do it. Tap the spokes with a screwdriver or similar, if they go metallic 'pling', they're good. if the sound is dull, retighten, that's all.
Some recent Sportsters seemed to have loose spoke issues, various people reported that. If you check regularly, no worries.

Give him a hug but ignore that sort of stuff!. Wire spoked wheels have been around longer than any other form, except wooden cart wheels. I've done hundreds of thousands of miles on them and have never had to tighten a spoke. Perhaps I should have done?!
