Sooo....
the brother in law was looking to join the Sporty-Clan!
He had found a heck of a deal on a 2004, xl1200c for $5000 posted on the internet last night.
This morning he had called and confirmed a deposit amount and pick up date with the seller. Deposit check sent... verbal agreement made.
Seller called this evening to say another interested party was comming to look at the scoot.....ALL DEALS OFF!!!!! http://adcache.cycletrader.com/5/7/2/87513372.htm
Now, Mr. Seller has the bike listed for $9000.
Whats integrity. He found a fish. If he can get someone to buy at that price, 4,000 dollars more than the original price he asked for, then you damn well know thats what he's going to do. Now, the integrity part is expanded with being able to get back the down payment. I suspect that he did'nt realize the truer price of the bike and changed the rules of the game. The old saying still go's, buyer beware. You really have to be careful when doing business on the internet. Too many unscrupulous characters out there.
I had that happen to me once. By time I got there the seller realized he had asked too little in his ad. A dealer had called him on the phone and told him that "sight unseen" they would give him his asking price. What did I do? I told him I agreed he wasn't asking enough. That was why I was there. I told him I'd give him another $100.00. He agreed and I still got a hell of a bargain.
I don't know, but your right!! I see that the a$$-monkey now has the price set back to 5K.
Maybe Sybil has switch personnalities again?!?!?
I just feel sorry for the BIL. Had his hopes up, geek to beat the band, and ******* had to crush that.
Hell, I am ready to call this hosebag and say I saw the ad yesterday, offer him 9500, and tell him the check is in the mail!! Let the D-bag wait for nothing...
