Windhsields?

I recently purchased a 2006 Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200 XL1200C, and am looking for a windshield and saddle bags. My uncle has a 1988 Sportster that je can't ride anymore, and I want to buy his saddlebags and windshield off of him, my question is: can his windshield fit on my bike? I tried to gogle it but all it brings up is ebay adds for parts, thanks

might have to do a little fabrication , but all a windshield does is stick up on the front.

I doubt the windshield would fit. If the bags are throw overs they should. If not check Craigslist can find some awesome deals when people upgrade or sell their bike. Good luck

I just won an auction on a HD windshield for $212 and it looks good as new. If that's in your budget you can look on ebay for the windshield. I don't know if that's cheaper than craigslist, never use it.

Scan Craigs List daily. If you plan any out of town weekend trips, scan that towns CL before going. I've scored great deals while on the road.
Scored a QD windshield complete for $90.

is the windshield the quick detach style (clamps to the fork tube)? if it is, it should work, i think it was in 1988 that they changed to the 39mm fork tubes?
