Default Cable lengths

Anybody know where I could find specs on cable lengths on different model sporties? Currently have '04 1200c with mini-apes and looking to go back to stock. Found a stock setup for an '09 on CL but, want to make sure they'll fit. I've read where the cables on EFI models are a bit longer than carb models but, don't want a bunch of excess cable to hide/route etc.

thanks for any help!

I can tell you without looking anything up that the EFI cables will not work on the carbs. The travel length is different for the EFI manifold compared to the carb throttle plate.

Thanks Scuba. If that's the case, that will save me some time checking around. Need to find someone with a carb model who changed to apes and has the stock stuff laying around...!

Check magnum shielding, they'll have all your stock length measurements for different model sportsters.

take a look on ebay was able to score some resonably priced new SS cables this year. travel length is definatly the detail part also watch to see if they are 90 or 130 degree elbows. i got caught with 1 of each but it all worked out in the end
