Default Custom Dynamics Load Equalizer

My buddy is trying to install a Custom Dynamics Load Equalizer on his 2012 Forty Eight so he can do the front and rear LED turn signal upgrade.

Apparently there is not much room under the seat of the Forty Eight and he is having a hard time getting the equalizer installed.

Anyone install a load equalizer specifically on a Forty Eight and if so any chance you could provide tips and possibly pics of how it went in?

Here's how I installed mine...you'll have to pay close attention to the routing of the wiring TO and FROM the load equalizer [you can twist and turn/rotate it after connecting it inbetween the factory wiring harness to make it sit/lie nicely flat], along with the 12 V [+] and associated fuse holder and the ground [-] to the battery. I would strongly suggest covering all the wiring with some type of wire loom to protect it AND secure it in position [with the appropriately sized wire ties so it doesn't shuffle or move around], especially the 12 V [+] going to the battery, because it would lead to some fireworks under the seat [not the type you just messed with this past 4th] if this circuit would make contact with ground through friction of movement, not to mention causing the load equalizer to stop functioning.

I didn't have the correct diameter wire loom at hand when doing my install, but I did have some clear fuel rated hose that I split lengthwise and used in lieu of the loom, which is actually much more wear resistant than the thin loom, and it works perfectly.

The installation is on my '09 Iron, but the space is just as limited under the seat:

There are more pics on my thread here about the install...

Best wishes for a successful install.

Like Drew said it can be done. I installed on my 2012 48 and it is tight but I got it in there. I'll try and get a picture later today but it looks the same as the one drew posted. Awesome product by the way. Couldn't be happier.

Thanks for the responses guys!

Ployd4.... apart from what DrewBone mentioned to look out for when routing the wires, did you run into any problems getting to the factory wiring harness on your 48 or anything else we should be aware of?

Not at all it is a simple install. Don't over think it like I did. Just unplug under the seat and plug in load stabilizer. Swap out the bulbs and tidy up your wiring. 15 minute job.
