Maybe a dumb question but I bought a set of Plasma Rods for my 13 street glide. I already installed the LED taillights and load equalizer, has anyone used the universal wiring adapters that custom dynamics sells to install the rods or am I going to have to tap into the wiring harness in the back if the bike? Why I asking is custom dynamics is telling me I cannot use that for my setup!

 

I used an adapter they offer that basically extends your factory harness by 2" and then tapped into that 2" so I wasn't damaging the factory harness at all. There is not "plug and play" option so to speak but atleast I wasn't tapping through the wire housing on the factory harmess.

seems I had to tap into the wires underneath the fender (where they go into that bottom light). Wasn't a big deal with those cool little wire connector thingies. Not hard at all and you don't actually cut or splice any wires. For sure worth it. before having them, all my buddies said it was hard to see my brake lights during the day (I usually ride in the front). Since installing, they have never said that again.
