Default Screamin Eagle stage 2 kit, don't waste your money...

Just like the title says, went to a local very reputable dealer here in NJ and was going to purchase the SE stage 1 upgrade when I was stopped mid sentence and was told by the assistant parts manager that I shouldn't "Waste my money on a stage 1 kit and just purchase the Screamin Eagle stage 2 kit, this kit makes it a 100hp bike." Well in my head I was thinking, its a upgrade from a stage 1 that already makes close to 80whp it has to make better power right? So a week later I went and in to order the kit and as I gave them the part number they had a stage 2 in stock. I was shocked amazed ect, long story short I have that same dealer tune my bike after I installed the kit and it made 65whp and 63 ft lbs torque. So a stock 883 makes 45whp and I already had a stage 1 air cleaner and exhaust so this kit only gained me 15whp??? Oh and how am I still making less then a stock 1200 ??? I contacted the dealer about this issue and other issues but I will touch base with them tomorrow and try and figure things out. I like the people over there but I really feel like I just pissed away $1300 + $356 for a tune. I'm sure I can't be the only customer to have gone through this.

Wonder how many pulls they did when tuning? Did they really tune it or stick you with the download and do a base run? Can you post a pic of your dyno sheet? I had same kit installed and did better on numbers. Past my break in with over a 1000 miles on it and its running good and strong. Sorry to hear about your unsatisfactory experience... Hopefully you can get lined out!

Sounds like they did a sad job in tuning.

I'm no pro, but right off the bat I can see from my sheet they reset my limiter to 7000rpm and pulled to there. I see yours is at 6000. Might be an issue there with hp # but my tq was 71 @ 5250.

So you ran that without any intake or exhaust work? If so, that actually seems fair. It's a boost, but the stock intake and exhaust won't flow enoughto get the efficiency needed out of a cam upgrade. That's why they are stages, to build on each other.

I have a Screaming Eagle stage 1 intake system and a V&h big radius exhaust system

That is odd then. Did you ever get base runs to see what you started with.

No because I installed the kit myself... Typically these bikes stock 883 make 45whp.
