The Dark SideFor those members running "Car Tires" on their scoots. This is for their discussion only and not a place for "non dark siders" to mouth off about their negative opinions of this idea!
Is there another tire (a rear one) other than the BT45 that is a rear tire in 130/80-17? The BT45 is the seemingly only tire available in that size, though I find a ton of 130/90-17s. I’m trying to double dark and want an option other than the BT45. Amazon sells a Shinko in that size,
Why a 130 series tire? To me the main reason for going double dark was to have a fatter / beefier tire up front. That why i put the 150 series Battle Ax on my old RGU....

On the darkside forum I asked what size DD was used in the front (“of my 09). I was told “ (in my case 130/80-16 match the tire size to what’s on the front now”.
So so that’s where I am now. I can get this tire larger, but since it is a radial and not a bias ply, will that matter? And maybe a 130/90-16 or 140/90-16 size instead?
Double check the size of your front wheel. I am pretty sure it is the same as my 2011 RGU was. In that case I know you can use 150 and I seem to remember somebody
fitting a 160.
