DYNOJET: Dynojet stack
#23
Hi Pete, I'm in the same boat as you were. Did you just remove the battery and replace it with a new one and it came back to life without loosing firmware? I have bought a secondhand dyno that's been sitting for a couple of years and I have no flashing lights on the stack. Hoping by some miracle I will have your luck as I purchased it for personal use and definitely cant afford to upgrade the stack. The fact its been sitting for two years is a concern. I did use it at the shop I purchased it from so it was working before they packed it away.

Just a bit of a follow up. I replaced the lithium battery and the orange LEDs started flashing straight away. I then had to press the reset button to get it to communicate and everything is working again. I measured the voltage of the old battery and it was absolutely flat 0.0v so it would appear the firmware/eprom is non volatile and all you need to do is put in a good battery.

For those interested I have a fairly extensive library of stack parts, modules. and components for previous generation Dynojet dyno's using Dynoware EX (pre-Winpep 8), email jamie@fuelmotousa.com with anything you are looking for.
