Default Stop and Start SEPST recording

This is probably a dumb question but....

If I am doing a Smart Tune run and I stop somewhere, say a store to grab a drink, if I push the record button to stop recording (LED is on solid), shut the bike off, come back out, start it up and push the button again so that it's flashing, will it start recording where it left off? I don't remember seeing anywhere that it would. I didn't do that this morning because I wasn't sure if it would over-write what I had already recorded.

Guess it was a dumb question...81 views and no replies. Either dumb or nobody has tried it.

Recording time is fairly short, imagine most people do a full recording session before stopping the bike.

Nothing dumb about that question.
You would just have recorded 2 shorter sessions, rather 1 long one( without). It will not overwrite your previous session.

TomCop, thanks. Seems like every time I get a chance to ride and do a recording, I'm going somewhere that I'll have to stop before I get back home. I wasn't sure if stopping the recording and turning off the bike would lose everything or not. I'll try it next time I am out. Not a huge deal, I was just curious if it would work.

I just did that very thing and there were two recordings made xxxxxx1 and xxxxxx2. The software used both recordings to make the finalised calibration.

seems like a good place to ask, how does the SEPST really work? i can NOT get my SEPST to stop flashing?

i can't upload a video on here , but i pushed the button, held the button, held it longer, .....SEPST flashes the WHOLE time.

turn bike off, back on....SEPST still flashing....
it did record some data, but it's annoying as CRAP to pay $300 for something that wont stop blinking.

That is because the buffer is full. You reached the maximum space for your recording. That is the fast flash, it's full.
