Tom T-Bird suggested this place back in December and we never got around to visiting it when up in Sarasota area. Me and a buddy rode up there yesterday. Interesting little place with an interesting owner (old man has passed away and his son has it). We will go back on a Saturday when he has a band.


After a couple of beers we went down the road to Solomon's Castle, which was very busy with tourist but we were able to sit down and order food right away. Awesome lunch!


Good roads all the way there and not much traffic for an hour and fifteen minute ride. For us in the Cape this was a good find, thanks Tom T-Bird!

 

I knew Herb. Haven't been in a few years since he passed. His Mom used to run it. Didn't know it had changed hands.

I always enjoy the ride out and back and Herb's is a nice little quiet place to sit and talk.

 

Herb's is a cool place, not a lot happening until the weekends. Solomon's Castle is a must do also.
Their is another place out in that area we stopped called the Open Road Bar and Grill, like most places not much happening until the weekend, but its kind of a neat place with good music. Added a link, good place for Like minded people......A.K.A. Biker Friendly Bar.

 

May just head out there this Sunday.

 

Guy running it now said he was his son. Said his Mom is still involved but we didn't see her around. Just him and his dog.

 

We are headed to the Solomons Castle Saturday with a group. There are a lot cool places in that are. Peggy's in Palmetto is a great place on the Weekends also!

 

The bar is run by Herb's brother and their mother.
