Default Biker Friendly Lodging in Flagstaff and Sedona

Just finalized ride plans for next year to Arizona.

Our riding group (about 6 of us) plan to base out of Flagstaff for two nights and Sedona for two nights.

Would welcome suggestions for some biker friendly places to stay. We like to stay in Inns, lodges or hotels (we don't camp). We generally stay off the bikes in the evening after a day's ride so having places to eat, a bar, a porch or deck to have a cigar, etc. within walking distance is preferred. We keep the costs down by doubling up so we need rooms with two beds. We will stay at the chains if needed (I have found some very good Best Westerns), but prefer the unique or historic lodges or hotels with some character, if the price is right.

Again, suggestions are welcome.

Although I've never stopped at it, there is a "Little America" in Flag. I have stopped at the one in Wyoming and it is very nice. I think they probably have everything you are looking for right there on the property

Sedona, eh? I had work out in Phoenix several years ago and was out there off and on. I got a recommendation to visit Sedona, so one weekend I packed up (rental car) and headed up there, to a place called Los Abrigados. Checked in about 6. Had a nice swim in the pool, with great views of the surrounding hilltops. Headed down to the restaurant/bar around 7. Looked like a nice place. Sat down at the bar, and ordered a beer. No one else at the bar. After a while, they started wheeling in the patrons. Yes. Wheeling, as in wheelchairs. Well, not all of them. So had canes or walkers. You get the idea.

After watching this for a while, I asked the bartender, "Say, where would one go in this town to find the younger crowd?" He burst out laughing.

Just a heads up.... Flagstaff is a whole different story, of course...

Last year stayed a night at the BestWestern in Sedona, maybe the same one Petemac posted. $80 for the night. Nice place. Was able to park just outside the room. Within walking distance of eats, drinks, etc...
Saw a few other bikes in the parking lot.

We were not planning to stay in Sedona, but there was an accident heading south out of town plug'n up the only road. So we turned around and found this place.
I think the price incl'd breakfest.

They have better rooms with great views for more $$

Stayed in Sedona for a weeka couple years back while on vaca. Went to the local bar every night had a great time with people my age. No wheel chairs or the likes. I guess it is just the matter of where you decide to hang out.

I was at a time share so I can't recomend any place to stay, but the jeep rides are well worth the money. They take you off road, back into the sticks for some awsome sights.

Do you remember if it was the best Western on 89a toward Flagstaff? That's the one petemec stayed at.

I believe it was. We came south from Flagstaff down the 89a. Rode through the center of Sedona and the BW was on the west side of the hwy at the south end of town.
