Default Hydration

It appears it is getting hotter and hotter for longer periods here in S. Florida.

Due to presyncope issues I have had and staying hydrated an issue I nvr had before, my cardiologist suggested I start popping pedialyte into my water bottle when I ride in heat.

FWIW, here is some info that you may find handy........

BTW, FWIW, I do not use a water bottle holder on the handle bar, tank or elsewhere. Used to have a side saddle bag...I now simply open either saddle bag while at a light, pull out water and chug.

HERE is the Pedialyte. I pop 1 packet in this stainless steel thermos. The instructions say to SIP it.
.

.
Here is the stainless steel thermos I use with the Pedi in it.
.

.
And I have abt 5 of these on my bike. I go thru ALL of them in about 3 - 4 hrs that I am out and about.
.

Bottom line my Florida friends, 'juss as a reminder, stay hydrated.

LOL! I understand when drinking, it is ur drink plus a glass of water. That is how I do it at a pub. Alcohol is dehydrating as I understand it. Yuppers.

good suggestion Buzzy. I've noticed I am more dehydrated this summer and am making an effort to drink more. In Publix I can buy orange squash in the British sections. What is it you may ask? A cordial you dilute with water. The make they have is Robinsons which is a famous UK brand of squash and I can also get Ribena which is blackcurrant but I find it too sweet. I can chug the orange one easiest and it encourages me to drink.

I always wonder why you Yanks haven't got into squash (not zucchini etc). British supermarket shelves usually have half an aisle devoted to all the flavors and brands.

Nvr heard of Orange Squash. May just look into it. TY. I am figuring, Puggies (Publix) will have it at one of their LARGE stores and not 1 of the smaller ones.

Important question love, why do you think you are more dehydrated this summer? (I have a few things on my mind abt it.)

Don't know, guess I haven't been drinking enough. Making a conscious effort to drink more water.
