Appreciate the heads-up. I commute into North Tampa couple of time a week on the Street Glide which, while modified, is rather tame.

I guess I won't be commuting on the softail.

 

Its not about revenue generating. Its about the plethora of clubs in the greater Tampa area including the large number of 1% clubs and affiliate clubs. LE in the greater Tampa area has been randomly stopping bikers for over 2 years for ridiculous reasons in order to collect identifying info and body cam pics of you and your bike. It all goes into a database on bikers they're building. If you're wearing a cut your chances of getting stopped goes up exponentially. 99.9 % of the time its just an inconvenience. Any ticket for equipment, etc, is just to justify the stop. Had one friend get a ticket for Eyewear when he raised his modular helmet at a stop light and didnt have glasses on. Yes that was bullsquat. I've been stopped a couple of times. Personally I dont gaf. I'm legal and unfortunately just not that important. Sometimes the fact they know who you are gets you pass also.

 

Nah, I'm gonna pass on that. Experience has shown me that how the stop begins can have a direct bearing on how it ends up.
