I bet it is the Fender because of the paint. Painted parts take longer because they do them when they do a lot of them, I don't think they set up for one piece. Can not say as I blame them because its a lot of trouble switching colors. So it begins again. Tic-tock....... Hold your head up because we are all behind you.
Exactly, Dave. I waited 3-4 weeks for a new painted rear fender for my Heritage. They only paint a part when they have several orders for that color or the order hits that colors painting schedule. Glad to read your doing better, Bill.
New thread huh, Glad to here that the Meds are working and that the scooter is getting fixed, They said it will take a month to fix it? Sounds like a long time. Please keep us posted.
At the 5 hours labor mentioned by Bill, they must be doing the work in 1 minute increments for it to take them a month.

I bet you have a point there. I got a free warrenty replacement frame on my racing bike (pedal power)... I was told that this year's colors did not include my existing one and to choose a new color. After waiting 8 weeks for the frame to come in I asked the dealer what the hold up was and he told me they paint all the frames with like colors at the same time. I chose a color scheme that they do not get a lot of calls for (red/black/white) so they painted those ones the least frequent.
Good to hear youre doing better, you should be all healed up nicely by the time the bike is ready. In the meantime you can watch videos that enhance your skills... ?
Off topic is just the way of the crew man, don't take offense to it. It's like we all have ADD

Yeah I'm trying to get my hands on some vids, as well as using a few internet links a few of the crew sent me.
The off topic stuff is fine. No offense taken from anyone. Sorry if i sounded like it had. I'm just under alot of stress right now with work (losing my job when school ends in June), and adjusting to civilian life, and the accident didn't help. I'll be ok, eventually. Bill.
Jeff,
Insurance issued dealer a check for repair last week.
Also issued me a check today for a new helmet.
Parts on order at dealer.
No ETA yet on anything getting fixed, yet. Was gonna check with dealer this weekend to get an update.
Is that St Aug or Jax HD doing the work? Friend of mine had work done at St Aug last week, and they left it dirtier than when he dropped it off. He complained enuff, and in the right manner, to get a free detail from them.
